I witnessed the most beautiful scene this evening. It appeared at a time that I was doing a particularly mundane task. It was at a shopping center near my house - every summer they set up a small fair. I've never been to enjoy it, and I don't know if it benefits anything or why it is held in a parking lot, and really the whole operation comes off sort of seedy. But in this shopping center in this parking lot every year they erect a ferris wheel and a few other little small rides.
Anyway, I looked over the fair to a sun setting through fluffy clouds and it was that time of day where the sun effects everything around it. And all around me was this beautiful amber color. The cars, the pavement, the ferris wheel and the trees. The air stood still and everything was silent. For a moment in time I was a part of some movie set somewhere far away from my home. This other world I was in was foreign and fleeting, but it was soothing and I felt whole. I wish I had a camera - I wish you could have seen it too. More so I wish you could have experienced it also.
Sometimes the atmosphere has this way of taking the breath from your body and simultaneously making you feel alive. It's peculiar, the places we find bliss... sometimes at a seedy fair. I wish to always find that atmosphere in the most unlikely places. I wish to see every moment in time as the one I saw as the sun worked it's way below the horizon this beautiful afternoon.
