Reflection of the end

Sitting with a couple of good friends a few days ago, a deep conversation erupted into the realm of a world where they don't often come about. In an environment containing no controlled substances. On a beautiful day in the summer. The three of us exposed something in the deepest and darkest areas of our conscience to mull over as we looked into our futures. We talked at length about death and the ramifications of what lies thereafter for our souls. We talked about how one can go on and on for their entire lives thinking about this one event that could just simply be a decomposition of our bodies - a definitive end that we have no control over.

But after all the depressing talk about what may come about and what may not we concluded that nothing matters but what we do while we have time here on earth. Because even though there is a lot of unknown that death brings, we do know that we live on while our bodies bring richness to the soil below. We live on through the people that we loved. We live on by the actions that we have taken and how we changed the world in some small way with our presence and the time we had here.

So no day should be wasted and no day should be counteractive to the progress that we want to make while we are here. Life is too short to care all about the end. One day we will die. And that is only one day out of the many that we live. We do not know what will happen on that day. A lot of people claim they do, but no one knows for sure except for the countless living things that came before us. So lets live. Lets have a goal to reach. Lets start something good that can be passed on to every generation after us. Lets let our children be proud of their ancestors that have changed the world. The ones that loved. The ones that cared. The ones that made something of the life they were given.
